GPO Deputy Director Becomes First Woman to Lead Bureau of Engraving and Printing

03/25/24  The U.S. Government Publishing Office (GPO) Deputy Director Patty Collins has been named the 27th Director of the Bureau of Engraving and Printing (BEP) by U.S. Treasury Secretary Janet L. Yellen. Collins is the first woman to hold the position in BEP’s 162-year history. Collins leaves GPO after nearly four years serving as the Agency’s second-in-command. She led GPO’s Plant Operations, Security and Intelligent Documents, Official Journals of Government and Customer Services business units.


President Biden's FY2025 Budget Now Available on GOVINFO

03/11/24  Today, the U.S. Government Publishing Office (GPO) and the Office of Management and Budget (OMB) published President Biden’s Fiscal Year 2025 Budget. GPO works with OMB to produce and distribute the President’s Budget, an annual tradition since the Budget and Accounting Act was enacted in 1921.

03/06/24  The U.S. Government Publishing Office (GPO) Director Hugh Nathanial Halpern has named Elizabeth (Beth) Shearer as the Agency’s Chief Human Capital Officer. As Chief Human Capital Officer, Shearer will plan and implement the human resources systems and oversee the policies and procedures that guide GPO’s innovative human resources operation — policies designed specifically to strike a balance of honoring the culture and values of GPO’s rich history while positioning the Agency to meet the evolving human capital demands of the future.

GPO ranked in the top 15 amongst mid-sized agencies in Government Services. GPO joined the National Archives and Records Administration and Federal Communications Commission in the category for best Government agencies.
